Installation
Installation
From start to finish - a Kayak pool should take around 8 to 12 business days (weather permitting) to complete. This includes excavation, construction, liner installation and final grading adjustments.
Step 1
Depending on the access available to the property there are a variety of variables that can affect the speed of excavation. A full size Bobcat excavator can have the job done in as little as a day depending on the distance to the dirt removal area.
In established neighbourhoods with a narrow access point between homes - a smaller Bobcat unit is used - and as a result removes less dirt per trip and tends to run slower as well.
In extreme cases - excavation is done manually be wheel barrow - making for a longer process.
Step 2
Assembly of pool then begins - with a careful process that ensures the pool is sitting absolutely level and at the height the homeowner has requested. This procedure usually takes a day to a day and half depending on the size of the pool.
Once the floor is installed the liner is added - and interior trim, plumbing etc is completed. At this point water is now added to the pool to provide interior pressure to the walls - which will then allow the backfill against the wall to be added.
Step 3
Once pool level is reached - filtering, chlorination or salination processes being - as well as heating of pool water. *
Once this step is completed - final landscaping can take place and the pool is ready to use.
*All electrical and gas installations are extra and the responsibility of the homeowner.
